NEW BvS trailer:WHAT SAY YE????

Hate Luthor... no redeeming qualities or ideas there to me at all. He reminds me of Jim Carrey's Riddler. However, I'm more intrigued than I have been. There are "movie" things that annoy me, but I know I have to accept them. Still bitching about Batman's ripped, rather than scalloped, cape. The Frank Miller is far too prominent here. If the rumor of Dick Grayson being the dead Robin is true, the movie has lost a lot of points with me.

My annoyance with this film is this: Without giving us the relationship between Bats and Supes that brought about the events of Dark Knight Returns, we are instead using DKR as a jump point: Without the history of their relationship/friendship/rivalry/dichotomy, the fight will not have the weight it should. That feels like a big cheat. I've had a love/Hate relationship with DKR for a long time... it is not the end-all be-all of Batman. It SEEMS like Superman is getting some very needed redemption in this film after the oppressiveness of MOS... but we'll see.

I'm being negative, I know... Points I do like: Superman's brightened outfit. Bats has a CLOTH outfit... and it's NOT solid black!!!!! (not blue, but I know I'll never get that)!! I like the look of Wonder Woman. The seeming concept of Zod being the basis for Doomsday works for me (although he could look a little less movie Orc-like). AQUAMAN. Can't wait to see him.
