Which comic style do you prefer?

I personaly love both.
I want for myself...
to have a happy medium between the two one day.

Who are your favorite realistic and cartoony artist?

Some of mine here are.... >  Andrew Robinson [link] ,Stuart Immonen,
James Harren [link] ,  Chris Brunner [link], Matteo Scalera [link] , Ryan Ottley [link] , Joe Quinones [link] , Kelsey Shannon [link] , Sean Gordon Murphy [link] , Dan Panosian [link] , Kizer Stone  [link] , Christopher Copeland [link] and others...
They have found a perfect balance.

I'm putting all of these Cats and others on notice...

I'M GONNA RIP ALL YA'LL!!!!

Accept it!

Just sayin.... ;)

I'm with you on digging both cartoony and realistic. I like the term Adam Hughes used to describe his work. "Naturalistic". These days my own stuff is leaning more towards style. I remember trying to go for 'realism', but found it boring.

I like both it depends on the story really. Guy Davis kills it on BPRD. My all time favorite though is Olivier Coipel, the expressions on his supporting cast are always hilarious i especially love his Volstagg and Young Loki

i like a nice mix, but i prefer a more stylistic cartoony over realism.

I love just about every single one of those cats that you mentioned, and I think the happy balance they each find between the cartoony and the more naturalistic is also what I love about their work. It's also the unspoken mantra I have for myself in my art, to meet a happy median.

Cartoon for sure! Oh man, MIKE WIERINGO was the man, right? I sure miss him- as a person too. I gotta say, its silly that YOU of all people bring this up as a goal....YOU are the perfect inbetween already! I will always consider your Hulk/Power Pack series as the height of perfect cartoon/real style! Your hulk looked great and the kids were awesome in pose and expression! Keep it up.

Oh, and Stuart Immonen is probably my newest favorite (besides you). The guy can draw ANYTHING well!

Robin Mitchell has a really nice cartoonie style that also feels like it could be pushed more real and work as well.. Love that dudes stuff... I usually prefer the more cartoonie but I have to say the blend of the 2 styles in the new DC animated stuff as of lately has me Loving the combo!
